We have secured planning approval for a side / rear house extension in Morecambe, Lancashire.
The existing house had an awkward shaped kitchen, separate dining room plus a WC accessed via a small conservatory utility area. There was a detached garage in the rear garden that the client also wished to be rebuilt at the side of the house to free up space in the garden.
The client asked us to rationalise the ground floor layout, extending the house to the side and rear to create a light filled contemporary kitchen dining space and a new adjoining garage. A breakfast bar has been incorporated into the kitchen design, a great place to sit and enjoy the view of the rear garden through the fully glazed bi-folding doors. A large lantern rooflight has been included to flood the space with natural light. External materials have been chosen to match the existing house.
The extension design will be developed in detail and additional documentation will be produced in preparation for a obtaining building control approval via a full plans application.
