We have obtained planning approval to create a contemporary detached home by remodeling and extending a traditional hipped roof bungalow.
The bungalow in Overton, Lancashire is situated in close proximity of the grade II* listed Church of St Helen and careful consideration was required during the design phase given the sensitive location.
We liaised closely with the planning department throughout the application process, updating the design in response to consultation feedback in order to secure the best outcome.
The bungalow will be finished with a white through-coloured render and vertical cedar cladding to the front elevation. All windows and doors are to be dark grey uPVC in contrast against the light coloured render.
The design includes a raised gable roof to the front and rear elevations to provide a first floor master suite. The ground floor has been extended to provide a generous open plan living space, utility, lounge, bathroom plus two additional double bedrooms with outlook towards the Church of St Helen.
We are looking forward to seeing this project on site!
